From a young age we are taught to be ourselves, to not be blind followers, to not succumb to peer pressure. In middle school I stood alone, and It was miserable. But I was proud that I kept myself, who I was. Because you can’t trust people- people will stab you, betray you, kill you, and sell you out without a second thought. people are corrupt and history teaches us that one man or a million don’t make a wrong a right. So in any case, no matter how trivial or have small, to blindly follow a group of People is absurd to me. I put my faith in God and I pour my love into all his words and his beliefs because that is what the spirit says. I do not trust man, man who mangles and clips and prunes the good words of God and turns it into bullets and knives and weapons of hate and judgment. I am a sinner, I am no better than any human being and they are no better then me. the pope, the bishops, the cardinals, the pastors and the priests are all on my level. Jesus washed the feet of his deciples, he ate with taxcolectors and he healed leapers. There are no lines, there is no social ranking, all people are equal in the eyes of God- that’s the beauty of it. No one is above anther. So do not put your faith in people, put your faith in God. Do you confess your sins to people, they are sinners just as you are and have no better link to God than you. Only God can hear you, only God can forgive you. People are all just that- people, no matter what they wear or where they live or what they look like and no matter how many people believe in them. They have power because people give them power, God has power if you have faith in him or not. and he loves all of us. So do not put your faith in other men, put your faith in God.

It upsets me so much because it’s such a basic concept, why can’t you just see that? You are as close to God as the Pope, YES you are and no matter how much you deny it it’s true. He is no better than you, his words have no more power than your prayers do.  All are equal in the eyes of God. Only us, humans, are unable to grasp that concept because we build walls and pyramids to rank and order things- but they arn’t real. none of it is. so please, please why can’t you understand.
