Think for yourself!
Its not religion. It’s not anything.
its the fact that his main argument is, “I have faith in the higherups of my religion…we’ve been doing it so long.” Thats it. If he had any other rational I’d accept it becuase I am also a strong beliver in other people having the right to their own belifes. But its not, its not his own reason. HE need to make up HIS own mind for HIS reasons. Not just blindly following other people.
thats what upsets me the most. I cannot respect any philosophy based so completely on the rational of other people. YOu are a free thinking individual, use it. When he can say, “I belive” not “they say” or “pope says”, and really truly belive it, then ill have no choice but to respect that.
I have no grounds to acknowledge someone who blindly follows other people just for the sake of following.
